Job from Friends
Inside information about upcoming job opportunities.
What is Job from Friends?
Job from Friends is a special section of BrentJobs where people can share information about potential or upcoming job opportunities.
Sometimes an employee, friend, colleague or someone in a professional network learns that a company is likely to hire before an official job advertisement is published.
Job from Friends gives other candidates the opportunity to discover this information early.
People who send information about job vacancies under the “Job from Friends” program, which are often not yet advertised, do it for money… Read more.

Is a Job from Friends opportunity an official job advertisement?
Not necessarily.
A Job from Friends listing may be posted by someone who is not an official representative of the company.
The company name is displayed so that candidates can research the employer and, where possible, use the company’s official website or social media channels to learn more.
The final decision to hire always belongs to the employer.

Why can Job from Friends be useful?
Because timing can matter.
If you learn about a potential opportunity before it becomes widely advertised, you have more time to:
- research the company;
- understand the position;
- prepare your CV;
- prepare a cover letter;
- prepare any required supporting documents;
- make sure your application is ready before you apply.
Sometimes being prepared before the opportunity becomes public is an advantage.
Your Application
Why are professional application documents important?
Your CV and other application documents are often the first information an employer sees about you.
You may have excellent qualifications and valuable experience, but if your application is unclear, incomplete, poorly structured or difficult to understand, the employer may not see your full potential.
A professional application should make it easy for the employer to understand:
- who you are;
- what you can do;
- where you have gained your experience;
- what qualifications you have;
- why you are suitable for the position;
- how to contact you.
Your documents should tell your professional story clearly and accurately.
I have good experience. Why am I still receiving rejections?
There can be many reasons.
The employer may have found another candidate, received a large number of applications, changed the requirements, paused the recruitment process or decided not to hire.
However, your application documents can also influence the result.
For example, your CV may not clearly show relevant experience, important qualifications may be difficult to find, your application may contain unnecessary information, or the overall presentation may not meet the expectations of the market where you are applying.
A rejection does not automatically mean that your documents are the problem.
But if you repeatedly apply for suitable positions and receive very few responses, it is worth reviewing how you present your experience and qualifications.
Please inform yourself about what documents professional companies offer.
What is an ATS?
ATS stands for Applicant Tracking System.
Many employers and recruitment companies use software to help manage large numbers of job applications. And the number of companies using ATS is increasing every day.
An ATS can help organize applications, search for information and identify candidates whose experience and qualifications appear relevant to a particular position.

Can an ATS reject my CV?
An ATS does not necessarily make the final hiring decision.
However, poorly structured or difficult-to-read documents can make it harder for software and recruiters to identify relevant information. However, we have witnessed many cases where poorly prepared documents never make it to a human review. In that case, the applicant receives no response at all.
For example, problems can arise when a CV:
- uses an unnecessarily complicated layout;
- contains important information only inside graphics or images;
- has unclear section headings;
- uses inconsistent job titles;
- does not clearly describe relevant skills or experience;
- is not tailored to the position.
This does not mean that you should fill your CV with keywords or try to trick an ATS.
The goal is much simpler:
Make your qualifications easy for both technology and people to understand.
Should I use the same CV for every job?
You can, but it may not always be the best approach.
A strong CV should accurately represent your real experience and qualifications. However, different positions may emphasize different skills.
For example, if one position emphasizes warehouse experience and another emphasizes customer service, your CV should make the relevant experience easy to find for each employer.
Tailoring your application is not about changing the truth. It is about presenting the most relevant truth clearly.
Do I need a cover letter?
Not every employer requires one.
When a cover letter is requested—or when it is appropriate for the position—a well-written letter can provide additional context that a CV cannot.
It can explain why you are interested in the position, what makes your experience relevant and why you believe you could be a good fit.
A generic cover letter copied and sent to every employer is usually less useful than a concise letter written specifically for the position.
Professional Document Services
Can BrentJobs help me prepare my application documents?
BrentJobs may recommend professional companies that specialize in preparing employment application documents.
Depending on the service, these companies may help with documents such as:
- CVs and résumés;
- cover letters;
- professional profiles;
- supporting employment documents;
- visa-related documents.
These services are optional.
You are always free to prepare your documents yourself or use another provider.
Why does BrentJobs recommend professional document services?
Because we believe that a strong candidate deserves a strong presentation.
Professional document preparation can help make your experience, qualifications and skills clearer, better structured and more appropriate for the position and market you are applying to.
It cannot guarantee an interview or a job.
But a well-prepared application can help ensure that your qualifications are presented as clearly and professionally as possible.
Does using a professional CV guarantee a job?
No.
No legitimate service can guarantee that an employer will hire you.
Professional documents cannot replace qualifications, experience, skills or a suitable match for the position.
Their purpose is to help you present what you genuinely have in the strongest and clearest possible way.
Why should I pay for a professional CV when I can make one myself?
You absolutely can.
There are many free tools and templates available, and candidates are welcome to create their own documents.
The value of a professional service is in the expertise behind the document: understanding how to structure information, highlight relevant experience, avoid common mistakes and create documents that are professional, readable and appropriate for the intended job market.
For some candidates, doing this themselves will be perfectly adequate.
For others, professional assistance may be worthwhile.
The choice is yours.
Visa & Immigration Documents
Can I get help with visa-related documents?
Some of our recommended professional service providers may also offer assistance with visa-related documentation.
Visa requirements vary significantly by country, nationality, type of employment and individual circumstances.
For this reason, candidates should always verify requirements with the relevant government authority or qualified immigration professional.
Does BrentJobs provide visas?
No.
BrentJobs does not issue visas and cannot guarantee visa approval.
Any visa-related service should be understood as document preparation or professional assistance, unless the provider clearly states otherwise.
Transparency & Our Business Model
Does BrentJobs receive a commission when I use a recommended service?
Yes.
We believe you should know this.
Some companies that provide professional application or document services may pay BrentJobs a commission when a candidate purchases their services through our platform or referral.
This does not change the fact that the service is optional.
We disclose these relationships because we believe that transparency creates trust.
Does the commission mean that the service costs me more?
Not necessarily.
The price you pay is determined by the service provider.
Where a referral does not affect the price, we will make that clear. If a provider’s pricing or offer is different when accessed through BrentJobs, we will aim to make that information clear before you purchase.
Why recommend a service if BrentJobs receives a commission?
Because we believe the service can provide genuine value to candidates.
Our recommendation and our commercial relationship are two separate things.
We do not want you to buy a service simply because BrentJobs recommends it.
We want you to understand what the service does, what it costs and whether it is useful for your particular situation.
Are professional documents necessary to get a job?
No.
Many people successfully find employment using documents they prepare themselves.
Professional document services are an option—not a requirement.
We recommend considering them when you believe your application would benefit from expert preparation or when you are applying in a market where you are unfamiliar with the expected format and standards.
Can BrentJobs guarantee that I will get an interview?
No.
We cannot guarantee interviews, responses or employment.
What we can do is help you discover opportunities and provide access to resources that may help you prepare a stronger application.
Your qualifications are yours. Our goal is to help you present them well.
A Better Way to Apply
Should I apply to as many jobs as possible?
Not necessarily.
Sending hundreds of identical applications is not always the best strategy.
A smaller number of well-prepared applications targeted at positions that genuinely match your experience may be more effective than applying indiscriminately.
Before applying, consider:
Is this job right for me?
Does my experience match what the employer is looking for?
Does my CV clearly demonstrate that match?
Are my documents professional, accurate and easy to understand?
If the answer to these questions is yes, you are giving yourself a much better starting point.
What is the most important thing to remember?
Finding a job is not only about finding an opening. It is about making the employer understand why you are a good candidate.
At BrentJobs, we want to help you with both.
Find the opportunity.
Prepare properly.
Apply with confidence.
